About Harrison's Book Nook

Welcome to Harrison's Book Nook.  This is a collection of books read by Harrison teachers, staff and guest readers. We hope that you enjoy our stories and listen to them often. 

At Harrison we strive inspire a love for reading in our students.  We incorporate read- a- louds into our instruction daily. Our book nook is a way for students to take reading outside of the classroom and listen to stories from our staff any time, anywhere. 

Did you know that reading aloud is one of the most important things parents and teachers can do with children?  Reading aloud builds many important foundational skills, introduces vocabulary, provides a model of fluent, expressive reading, and helps children recognize what reading for pleasure is all about.
