Purpose of the House System
The House System at Harrison is designed to create a joyful, supportive school climate where every child feels known and valued. By emphasizing character development, academic effort, and school spirit, the House System:

Strengthens relationships between students and staff
- Encourages student leadership and teamwork
- Creates opportunities for cross-grade mentoring and friendship
- Builds school pride through friendly house competition and celebrations
PBIS
Students will earn points for their houses by demonstrating positive behaviors, academic growth, leadership, and participation. While we wait for district approval of the points-management app, a pilot is running in select grade levels.
Ways to earn house points:
- Showing kindness and respect to others
- Demonstrating leadership and teamwork
- Making academic progress or demonstrating effort
- Participating in school events and volunteering
Points will lead to house recognition and celebrations each quarter.
Overview
Four Houses. One Harrison Family.
Harrison Elementary proudly uses a House System (inspired by the Ron Clark Academy) to build a positive, inclusive school culture. Every student and staff member is placed into one of four houses. Each house has its own crest, history, and meaning. Throughout the year, students participate in school-wide events and celebrations with their house families to build pride, character, and belonging.
